120 pounds?

I don't know about you but when I think about pet food I buy 5  pounds maybe for my two dogs this takes it to extremes. It also  worries me about how little I get out of the city. I saw this at a  pet food store in cloverdale B.C. I was out there for an interview  for a bursery but after all the time in the car ( hour and a half) I  was simply told that I had to apply elsewhere. In anycase this is  really my first interesting picture post but I'm feeling bloggy  today so I'll be on later with some music for whoever is still  subscribed

I have 10 minutes...

So I'm sitting in my last high school English class ever and I can find nothing better to do than write... I figure I might as well because I've been lacking creative output recently and blogging's a  good way to do that.

Back to the current situation sitting the back corner of my last  English class of high school. It's pretty exciting especially with  the thought that over the next few years I only have to take 2  English classes. I'm also a little scared as I find out soon whether  I actually grduate or not. One of my friends found out that she  hasn't passed.... Anyways interspersed with yearbook signing that's  my ten minutes to explain life as it stands

New type of post

So I've found a challenge for myself that should be fun. Since posting on my phone is easier than the computer ever couple of days I'll find an interesting picture of something cool funny or odd and hopefully a good story too it. Today's is a picture from about a week ago I went into work with friends before a shift and we ended up with my boss serving us and when I asked for club soda and lime he came back with a cup turned into a palm tree for fun. Ian the GM whose leaving today actually is pretty funny, big and loud(to say the least). He's also very quotable, "I'm just better at everything, for example I'll have you a beard growing contest... I'll give you a two year head start and beat you in a week". Just the other day I'm not sure wether I got him to give my girlfriend a free shake or if he bribed her to stab me with his pencil for a milkshake. Either way he's a funny guy and I'll miss working with him for sure

It's been a while

I love blogging... I don't know why I just stopped all of a sudden but I'm back. So apparently I have  more subscribers now, odd. Before I get to it, this post has a story of it's very own... it's officially been 22 hours since I originally attempted to post this from my phone last night at about 2 am. I typed the entire thing out attached some pictures off my phone and everything and then BLAM I hit send and it shut down. Lost it all then today at school I had all intention of making it again but between tests and going to Starbucks instead of class it never got done. So anyways here we are now and cause I'm on the computer there'll be music! yay!

Now we get a run down of stuff since my last post in the brief. Almost graduated! 5 more months and I can't wait. In just a couple weeks it will be one full year that I've been with my super amazing girlfriend. I'm now addicted to video games again. Last but not least I'm looking for a house to rent, moving out is more exciting than grad....

So that's my life recently and now I actually get to write about something fun I didn't have to write about last night. So at work (Red Robin) we had a GM in training named Steve and it was his last shift before he went back to Edmonton. My shift leader Eric spent nearly the entire night giddy about pie-ing Steve, not just any pie.... flour, water, teriyaki, BBQ sauce, carmel, chocolate, ketchup and mustard. There were 4 pies and 3 cans of whipping cream. Long story short me and Eric got owned eric missed four times, broke two of the cans and covered the kitchen and office in pie we also got a lot of whipping cream sprayed at us. After that I was done, I clocked out got changed and walked past Eric mopping and he asked me if I seriously clocked out... I left all the floors for him to do and there was a lot of mess. I sat a around and had a drink after said by to Steve and eventually headed home and that's where I'm at now.

In terms of music last night was probly the first time I've updated my Ipod in months but I added about 60 new tracks and I want to play one of them tonight, it's my flavour of the day but I can honestly say it's  now one of my all time faves. More english music, I've got a couple other songs to play but right now this is where it's at. There's a crazy music video with this song and I encourage everybody to Youtube it.
Song: Salt,Pepa and Spinderella (10/10)
Artist: Johnny Foreigner
Album: Waited Up 'Til It Was Light(8/10)

Reminiscence of a good summer.

A week into summer and now it's time to recognize the greatness of summer and all the events.

Most memorable event: (the one I'm aloud to write about ;p) The pit. first day at the beach all summer what better to do then to hit the dollar store first! then I come up with the great idea lets dig a big hole, my usual partner in crime wasn't there yet so everyone just laughed but I was stoked. So we meet up with a couple more people including Stirling, my buddy, make to the beach and hang out there for a while then get at it. In the end you could barely see my head from outside, and I'm almost 6 feet tall. by the end we were all severely burnt and laughing our asses off after the life guard came up to us to ask about it.

Best part: Spending a ton of time with Lexy. I love all my other friends to but she's just different ;p. Being woken up every morning by a beautiful girl crawling into bed with you, it's awesome. Not even just the alone time but even around other people and going out, it's just great to be with her.

Most fun day: The day in the park I speak of was also born in the dollar store, with 2 giant inflatable swords. Great fun ensued an epic battle with Stirling occurred, it was also epicly (yes I made a word) photographed by Lex and Kalli. After hours in the park playing with a frisbee, an oblong beach ball, the swords and great variety of other fun toys it all came to rolling up the hill. A great way to start summer

Camp: Can't forget camp, and the 11 albums on facebook of it... This year was different because not just my best friend came but also my girlfriend and another friend of ours. All the same stuff happened: a dance, a rodeo and Stirling chipped his tooth (same tooth as last year that also broke at camp....) but it was just more than before.

Toronto: Already got talked about in detail, kinda. Anyways I put a picture of the sickest coaster in Canada on here... rode it 4 times that day and it was amazing every time.

Music: Lots of music made my summer, a lot of Sage Francis and a lot of Art Brut and Modest Mouse. Also I discovered Tegan and Sara but I think the Favourite thing I got all summer was the Los Campensinos CD the only thing that might have made me happier would have been finding a copy of Sideways or Angles(Sam Isaac and Dan Le Sac VS. Scroobius Pip respectively). So for music it's short today, it's the best 1:49 of music all summer in my mind.

That's all for now... over the next few posts I'm going to be shifting to some harder music and it will get older too. Err I have one Hip Hop artist I want to display first but after that but after that it'll be rocking a little more than before. So send me stationary to make me horny, write me in multi-colour.(see song before you judge that line ;p) seriously comments are awesome but thanks for all the subs guys.

Nothing to follow up a lame night at work like a blog post

I'm so fucking tired of being told 2 hours after I shoulda started working towards closing the dish pit that I need to do it that night... I work in a restaurant with one... ONE freaking dishwasher... Who works 4 nights a week I was already half finished up with the pre-close for my side of the kitchen it was all good then I get told it's time to start dishwashing.... so tired of the one shift leader... he even left before all the work was finished and left me there alone for the last 10 minutes I was working and his reason was that his girl friend was getting home in 15 minutes and he had to be home for that..... so anyways the the pics at the bottom are a logo from my restaurant... Red Robin, a standard looking dish pit for those who don't know it... it isn't a fun or interesting place... the one at RR is a little nicer but by no means good.... it is kinda in the corner now that i think about it.... and the last one well that's me looking a little disdained that my girlfriend wanted a pic of me in my work outfit. so music wise I think I'm gunna put down some older Tegan and Sara... that's a lot of what I've been listening to... that and The Adverts so two tracks today I guess. so I have my next post lined up... should be within a couple day... but now I really need to get some sleep, so glad I have a spare first block. (woot senior year!)

Back from T.O. minus some of my sanity/health

Well I'm home sick and fairly content. I got to Toronto on Thursday and started the trip perfectly by eating until I was sick at an all you can eat buffet. The next day I actually got sick though... stupid cold . I was fine for most of the rest of the trip but within a day of getting home I go to work and get sent home because I'm coughing and sneezing and have a crazy headache that felt like a tooth ache all over the one side of my face. Anyways went to the doc today and it's a sinus infection.... and now that I can stand to be alive (the meds just kicked in) I thought I should post. So back to the trip.... I managed to spend 400 bucks in 2 days quite something for me. The book below was something I found at a music shop on Younge near Bloor, and it's great. 200 odd pages of concert posters 2-10 to a spread from a lot of different bands. There's a ton of great art in it, and now that I'm back in town I have to find the rest of his stuff here.....

Anyone into art who hasn't already should look into vinyl toys too. They're an amazing modern canvas for all types of artists from everywhere. If you live in Toronto you should check out the Magic Pony on west Queen or if you live in Vancouver like me there's a pretty good shop on Main called Voltage. The Magic Pony is also an actually art gallery with lots of great artists putting on 1-2 week shows. These little figures come in sizes from 3-12 inches and in every thinkable design, with all sorts of art from cutesy to gangster. A couple companies that you can check out are Unkl and Kid Robot they both have websites full of designs and even if you never buy one it's like a online art gallery. I bought three this week and one for my girlfriend too and my dad who got me into them also bought a few. they range so widely that anyone who can appreciate art in any form can find one they like.

Lastly I want to post another piece of music, I was thinking about one to post and a couple things I've been listening to a lot came to mind but as I was going through the page of one of the people that added me this week while I was gone (thanks for the adds all)  and I saw a song by The Kooks which brings to mind a kind of old favourite and probly my fave Kooks song Seaside. The track didn't come to mind just because it's my favourite of theirs but because it's nice to be home with the ocean air and my girlfriend waiting at the door when I got home from the airport. We really did fall in love on the seaside so it's nice to go back to the song, nothing like a stereotypical walk along the beach looking at the stars to find true love hey? Anyways, once again enjoy.

I'm gunna start posting a lot more music

The past couple shift starting a new job made me realize how good music really is at a premium. To think that this music is much better than the last job where i think the majority of that music was specifically filler for customers. In the kitchen someone always has an ipod on the speakers, but that doesn't make it better all the time. depends who's in charge at the time... but a lot of pop. rock gets played and that kinda annoys me. Anything played mainstream north american radio bugs me solely because even if it is a good song i've heard it three times on the hour and start to dislike it. so to prove what radio can be here's a couple live tracks free styled by one of my favourite rappers Sage Francis. Both of these have some messed up lyrics in them... especially the last part in the second one (just really weird and creepy) but in both of them  it's a great display of free styling and good music in general, enjoy.

One of my favourite tracks of all time

Lets Dance to Joy Division though extremely contrasting to the band Joy Division (whom I also like) itself but is bouncy fun and well recorded by a great english band The Wombats. I plan on posting lots of music and videos  and I hope it can open up some eyes to new music.... hope this one's well played
